Set the Image Size for Its Placement

Decide whether the logo is for a small navigation bar, a larger hero area or a document. Prepare sufficient pixel dimensions for that display size without stretching a tiny raster image. Keep the aspect ratio fixed when resizing so letters and symbols retain their proportions. A larger empty canvas should not be confused with higher detail in the artwork itself.

Keep Text and Symbols Readable

Check the artwork at the size people will actually see, not only while zoomed in during editing. Small lettering and narrow gaps can disappear when reduced. Compare the symbol and wordmark on the intended background and leave clear space around them. If the layout needs a compact icon, use an appropriate approved variant rather than cropping a wordmark unpredictably.

Export and Inspect the PNG

Use the required dimensions and transparency settings, then reopen the exported file to inspect the result. Confirm that it is the intended image and that no editing guides or background layers were included. Keep a clear filename describing the variant and size. An editable design source should be stored separately from the final PNG used on the page.

Place the Logo in the Finished Layout

Check alignment, spacing and contrast in the actual header or content area. Give the image suitable alternative text for its role and avoid using the logo as the only place important navigation text appears. Keep the source file and export settings so a later layout change can use a fresh export rather than repeatedly resizing the same small image.
